THE STORY OF WESTON FARMS & LOGAN’S GARDEN SHOP:

“In November 2002 I relocated to NC from NYC to become a farmer. This was a bold move as my college degree was in the fine arts and my professional experience in publishing offices. I wanted to grow a luxury product on family land and I’d not yet worked out the details on what that meant. Little did I know the luxury product grown on the farm would be Magnolia. My first sales of Magnolia were to Logan’s in Raleigh. I cut branches of from my grandmother’s tree and those bundles were the first things I sold when I started my farm in NC. My bundles of magnolia grew into colorful bouquets and Robert Logan nurtured my craft with positive feedback. During the busiest season of the year, Mr. Logan would take the time to answer my phone calls and questions. He would let me know how many arrangements they needed on a daily basis. That attention and feedback taught me a few things. I learned that people decorate for the holidays with fresh magnolia and that the best magnolia has beautiful velvet brown backs. Most importantly, I learned the value of guidance and positive feedback. Without this opportunity at Logan’s I’m not sure I would have focused on creating a lifestyle company based on luxurious magnolia bouquets, wreaths and garlands. What started with my grandmother’s one tree has grown to thousands of trees. Weston Farms now specializes in wreaths, garlands, other natural accessories and they are shipped nationwide,” says Erin Weston, owner and founder of Weston Farms. Weston Farms has been featured on the cover of House Beautiful, in Garden and Gun, Veranda, Flower Magazine, Southern Living, Traditional Home & their designs have appeared in nationally recognized designer’s homes.

In 2020 Weston Farms added a botanically accurate faux flower to their product line. Because magnolia flowers are so short lived using fresh flowers was not possible in designs and there was no realistic magnolia bloom on the market. The flowers in the fields of WF were meticulously studied, dissected and an exact botanical replica was created. Each bloom has a clip called a fastenator and this makes it an easy addition to fresh foliage. The blooms come in two sizes and are a lovely addition to any fresh arrangement, wreath, garland or Christmas tree.

Erin says, “Being back at Logan’s is such an honor, it’s not only where we got started, Robert Logan the owner helped shape the direction of the company.” Weston Farms Spring collection includes flowers and wreaths including two designs exclusively available—a cross for Easter and a Spring Square.
