In this class, we will use the crape myrtle as a vehicle to teach the basics of pruning.

We are probably familiar with the term “Crape Murder” (and if not, all the more reason to attend this class!). But what can we do to avoid Crape Murder? In this class, we will use the crape myrtle as a vehicle to teach the basics of pruning. We will focus on the following:
1. Some basic terminology & biology.
2. The three basic types of pruning cuts.
3. A step-by-step on how to make a proper pruning cut.
4. The overall goal of pruning.
